• This is a "construction" or "construct" piece made up of 4 primary parts.

• The ladder is made of wood. 

• The base is made of fiberglass and metal.

• The portraits are "cutout" or "outline" paintings done in oil on plywood that has been reinforced with metal. 

• There is no background.

The "construction" or "construct" piece combines "outline" or "cutout" portraits (see cutout portraits) with scenery constructed from mixed media.

 

There is no background.

 

The  outline portraits are painted in oil on plywood that has been reinforced with metal to control warping..

 

The overall dimensions are 19" wide x 64" high (at maximum)

 

The wood for the "Cutout" portraits is 1/2" thick plywood supported in back by a metal framework designed to prevent the wood from warping.  The edges of the plywood have been rounded and shaped. 

 

There is "picture wire" in back of the painting and the painting hangs on the wall by the usual "nail-in-the-wall" method.

 

This piece weighs approximately 35 pounds.

Satisfaction is guaranteed before the final payment.  If the artist and the customer cannot agree that the portrait is acceptable, the customer does not have to purchase the portrait.  The portrait would then be the property of the artist.

 

How long does it take?  You should expect to wait 8 to 10 weeks for completion of the portrait after an agreement has been reached.  The artist will only accept a limited number of orders..
